– A town hall conversation exploring the state of child and youth participation in Canada. –
In an era of disruption and fast changes, our brave space, town hall-style dialogue about young people will critically examine where we have been in ensuring children and youth in Canada participate in decisions made about them, where we are at today, and where we can find a path forward.
Lead speaker Wraychel Gilmore, Ph.D., Vice President of DCI – Canada and author of “Renegade Politics”, will be joined by special guests from across Canada who will speak to challenges from a diverse set of perspectives.
* From participation to meaningful participation;
* The role of adult “lived experts”;
* The gap between participation and change;
* The growing chasm between those young people who are so easily afforded their rights and those young people who are struggling to access their rights.
