The Amazon Canada First Novel Award is currently seeking submissions for the Youth Short Story category.
Authors between the ages of thirteen and seventeen are invited to submit a short story under 3,000 words.
Instructions on how to submit can be found at thewalrus.ca/afna.
The deadline for submissions is February 4, 2024.
The winner in this category will receive $5,000 and five finalists will each receive $500. The shortlist will be announced in early May, and the winner will be announced on Thursday, June 6, 2024, at an award ceremony in Toronto.
