In the Middle East, while adults demonstrate their power through bombs and military might, children in Israel and Gaza are being brutally killed, buried under rubble or torn to pieces. Their small broken bodies are described as “collateral damage”. Other children are crying desperately for life-saving water, food and medicine.

On all sides adults profess their love for their children, children who will never be safe until the adults involved find a way to put the interests of those children first.

How many countries including Canada have signed the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child yet watch the promises of that document being shattered.

When someone asks “Whose side are you on?” we know our answer. We are on the side of the children, whether they are Palestinian or Israeli.
